Following its Rhapsody Gala with Cyndi Lauper<\/strong><\/a>, the Turtle Creek Chorale (TCC)<\/a> has additional news. After \u201can extensive search,\u201d the Board of Directors has selected Dr. Dawson B. Taylor<\/strong> to follow Jeremy Wayne<\/strong> as executive director starting Friday, November 1.<\/p>\n Far from being a stranger to North Texas or the Chorale, Dawson has served as executive minister of Cathedral of Hope United Church of Christ in Dallas as well as a singing member of the TCC in 2006. He served on the board in 2007 and became its chair in 2009.<\/p>\n Since his tenure in Dallas, he served as Designated Minister of Westmoreland Congregation United Church of Christ in Bethesda, Maryland, and sang in the Gay Men\u2019s Chorus in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n Before his work at Westmoreland, Dawson was Associate Minister of Naples United Church of Christ in Naples, Florida, from 2013 to 2015 and Senior Minister from 2016 to 2022.<\/p>\n Having earned a Bachelor of Arts In Political Science from Centenary College of Louisiana, he received a Master of Theological Studies from SMU\u2019s Perkins School of Theology and a Doctorate of Ministry from Chicago Theological Seminary.<\/p>\n According to TCC Board chair Kevin Housing<\/strong>, \u201cOn behalf of the Board of Directors, we are so excited to welcome Dr. Taylor back to Dallas to lead the Turtle Creek Chorale as Executive Director.
