COLLEYVILLE, Texas \u2014 Colleyville Heritage senior Braden Blueitt had a good example to follow when he started playing football.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dad played at SMU, so he had me playing football from a very young age,\u201d said Blueitt, who plays the same position as his father.<\/p>\n

Damond Blueitt was a receiver for the Mustangs in the late 1990s.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s been the greatest motivation of my life,\u201d Blueitt said. \u201cHe pushes me on days when it\u2019ll be hard for me to get out here. He\u2019s the one who will always have my back, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now Braden is following in his footsteps as future Division-1 receiver. He\u2019s committed to play at Northwestern University after earning multiple offers following a breakout junior season.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ll get a receiver that can do whatever they need me to. I\u00a0think I\u2019m just a well-rounded receiver,\u201d Blueitt said. \u201cI\u2019m pretty fluid out there on the field.
