Haason Reddick ended his holdout with the New York Jets on Sunday, with the edge rusher agreeing to an “adjusted contract,” ESPN reported.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

“We will continue to work towards a long-term extension with the Jets,” Reddick’s newly hired agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

The Jets acquired Reddick from the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional 2026 draft pick on April 1, but the two-time Pro Bowl selection was a no-show while seeking a long-term deal.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Reddick, 30, was due to make $14.25 million in the final season of his three-year, $45 million contract.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

ESPN reported that the team will not assess him more than $12 million in fines that accrued during his holdout in exchange for him joining the team on Monday.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Rosenhaus told ESPN that Jets owner Woody Johnson was “very involved” in ending the stalemate.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Reddick has recorded 50.5 sacks over the past four seasons.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

A first-round pick (13th overall) by Arizona in 2017, Reddick is a two-time Pro Bowl selection with 410 tackles, 99 quarterback hits, 58 sacks and 16 forced fumbles in 114 games (81 starts) with the Cardinals (2017-20), Carolina Panthers (2021) and Eagles.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

The Jets (2-4) will face the Steelers (4-2) in Pittsburgh Sunday night. Wide receiver Davante Adams, who joined the Jets this week following a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders, plans to play.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

It is not clear when Reddick will be ready to play after missing training camp.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
