Their\u00a0<\/span>high-profile couple continues to dominate headlines after a year of public outings, world travel and professional milestones. Between Swift’s blockbuster <\/span>Eras Tour and Kelce’s wide-ranging career endeavors, <\/span>a source told ET on June\u00a014\u00a0the couple is committed to making their relationship a priority.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As the well-known story goes, their\u00a0<\/span>relationship got started after the Kansas City Chiefs player attended Taylor’s Eras Tour concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, on July 8, 2023 and fumbled when he tried to give the “Blank Space” singer a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Less than one year later, Kelce found himself <\/span>making an onstage appearance at Swift’s London stop on her Eras Tour.<\/span><\/p>\n

In July 2023, Travis revealed on his and his brother Jason Kelce’s podcast,\u00a0<\/span>New Heights,<\/span><\/em>\u00a0that he was unsuccessful when\u00a0<\/span>he attempted to give Taylor a friendship bracelet after the Eras Tour\u00a0concert at Arrowhead Stadium. The singer performed at the stadium on July 7 and July 8 of that year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Travis said. “So I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Revealing his plan at the time, Travis admitted that his bracelet had his phone number on it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets,” Travis said. “I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Travis has been into Taylor for a while and definitely has a crush on her. He is a simple guy that is very funny, charismatic, chill, and loves playing football,” the source said at the time.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a post-game interview that same week, Travis playfully brushed off an interviewer’s question when pressed about the validity of his attempt to get Taylor’s number.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the game, Taylor made it clear that she was rooting for the home team — and their tight end — as she rocked a\u00a0Chiefs jacket and KSUBI denim shorts while she sat next to Travis’ mom,\u00a0<\/span>Donna Kelce, in the NFL player’s suite.<\/span><\/p>\n

Taylor brought a lot of energy to the stadium\u00a0<\/span>and was seen giving chest bumps, high fives, and doing plenty of shouting, especially when Travis scored a touchdown.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On Oct. 1, 2023, Taylor brought loads of star power to the NFL when she and her famous friends attended the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets game at\u00a0MetLife Stadium in\u00a0East Rutherford, New Jersey.<\/span><\/p>\n

The “Welcome to New York” singer brought along to the game Sophie Turner, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, <\/span>Queer Eye<\/span><\/em>‘s Antoni Porowski, and her backup singer and friend, Melanie Nyema. Patrick’s wife, Brittany Mahomes, was also seated in the same section.<\/span><\/p>\n

At one point, Taylor was spotted sharing a sweet embrace with Mama Kelce.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was another exciting game for the Chiefs, who beat the Jets 23-20. But after this game, Travis and Taylor went their separate ways, with the singer leaving with Sophie and the NFL star presumably jetting back to Kansas City.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was, however, <\/span>spotted leaving Taylor’s<\/a> apartment in New York City just hours before the game, and later liked an article on social media about the singer’s presence at the sporting event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Swift was spotted getting on a golf cart at Arrowhead Stadium before kickoff, sporting a black dress and a Chiefs-themed jacket, which she wore hanging off one shoulder.<\/span><\/p>\n

She was later seen enjoying a drink while sitting in a box seat. Then, during the game, after Kelce made an impressive catch and picked up 40 yards, Swift gasped, jumped out of her seat, and loudly cheered for her beau.<\/span><\/p>\n

She once again <\/span>spent the game hanging out with Donna in a private box suite. The women smiled as they watched the pregame festivities on the field and waited for kickoff.<\/span><\/p>\n

The pair — who have hung out a few times in the past few weeks amid Taylor’s rumored romance with Travis — watched much of the game at Arrowhead Stadium side-by-side, cheering and rooting on their team.<\/span><\/p>\n

were spotted holding hands as they arrived at the\u00a0<\/span>Saturday Night Live<\/span><\/em>\u00a0after-party. Travis was the perfect gentleman as he held Taylor’s hand while she exited the truck.<\/span><\/p>\n

Showing off their style in the rainy weather, the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer wore a long trench coat over black pants and a cropped shirt ensemble. Swift also held a black purse. Kelce wore brown pants and an embroidered jacket with a white T-shirt and white sneakers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brittany also brought along her and Patrick’s baby boy, Bronze.\u00a0As the game got started, Taylor was spotted holding her camera in the direction of Brittany and her little boy, who smiled for the camera as his mom held him on her hip. Travis offered some clues about how the couple’s romance really began in an interview with\u00a0<\/span>WSJ. Magazine<\/em><\/a>, published in November 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

“There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: ‘Yo! Did you know he was coming?’ I had somebody playing Cupid,” Travis revealed to the magazine<\/span>,<\/span><\/em>\u00a0admitting that he only learned of that story later, after he was shocked to discover a notification from Taylor on his phone.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the start of 2024, with Taylor set to resume her Eras Tour and Travis setting his sights on another Super Bowl, <\/span>a source told ET that the couple had been thinking about their future together.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Taylor and Travis are doing really well,” the source said in January. “They try to spend as much time as they can together. Travis also makes it a point to make sure Taylor feels as comfortable as possible at his home. They have discussed their future as a couple and are excited at the idea of it.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The pair <\/span>rang in the New Year with a kiss in Kansas City, while Taylor continued to be\u00a0<\/span>a mainstay at Kelce’s Chiefs games. She also\u00a0<\/span>traveled to Buffalo, New York, to see them score a victory over the Bills and meet Travis’ brother,\u00a0<\/span>Jason Kelce, and sister-in-law,\u00a0<\/span>Kylie Kelce, for the first time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It was then that Jason famously stole the show by <\/span>ripping off his shirt, chugging a beer, and cheering for his brother’s touchdown.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“[Kylie] was already telling me to be on my best behavior because we were meeting Taylor,” Jason later <\/span>explained on the siblings’\u00a0New Heights<\/em> podcast. “She was like, ‘Do not. Taylor and pals Ice Spice and Blake Lively joined Travis’ family and friends in a box at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to watch the closely contested championship, and she <\/span>rushed the field to congratulate him after the big win.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Thank you for coming, baby,” cameras captured Travis telling Taylor after a sweet kiss and hug on the field.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Oh, I cannot believe that,” Taylor responded. “I can’t believe you. How did you do that?”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Was it electric?” he asked, to which she sweetly replied, “It was unbelievable.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Changing the Game<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Following his Super Bowl win, one of Travis’ <\/span>pre-game interviews<\/a> with\u00a0Fox Sports reporter Laura Okmin made the rounds again. In the clip, the tight end marveled at the impact his relationship has had, in helping to bring together football fans and Swfties.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I’m very aware,” Travis said of the phenomenon. “Obviously that is mostly because Taylor’s in my life now and we got her a part of Chiefs Kingdom, and sure enough that brought an entire entourage of human beings that just love to support her and love to support everything that she’s about, so it’s been a fun ride up to this point. It has been beautiful to see the father and daughter stories that have come about because of all this.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Everybody was excited that Travis was happy. So when my player, my brother, is happy beside me, that helps me and that encourages me,” Merritt said of their romance, noting that since they got together, Travis “came in there a different man.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“She won a Super Bowl in her first year in the NFL,” he joked.\u00a0“How about that?”<\/span><\/p>\n

The backlash Taylor received from some football fans even brought her closer to the team, Merritt said.<\/span><\/p>\n

And to find that creativity to see where she likes to pull things from\u00a0and just, really, how she listens to music is very eye-opening for me. “Taylor and Travis were so excited to go to Coachella together,” a source told ET. “They wanted to be there to support their friends and just have fun. They had the best time at the festival and were in their own world even though so many people were around them. Their presence at Coachella didn’t go unnoticed, as Taylor and Travis immersed themselves in the festival spirit, embracing the music, the vibe, and each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

When Taylor dropped her 11th studio album on April 19,\u00a0<\/span>The Tortured Poets Department<\/em>, fans were delighted to find a love song chock full of football references, with many speculating it may have been inspired by her romance with Travis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“So when I touch down \/ Call the amateurs and cut ’em from the team \/ Ditch the clowns, get the crown \/ Baby, I’m the one to be \/ ‘Cause the sign on your heart \/ Said it’s still reserved for me \/ Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy,” Swift sings on the chorus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the bridge, Taylor appears to reference a huge win — not unlike the\u00a0<\/span>Kansas City Chiefs’ numerous victories on their way to Super Bowl LVIII.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Shirts off, and your friends lift you up, over their heads \/ Beer stickin’ to the floor, cheers chanted ’cause they said \/ ‘There was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league’ \/ Where’s the trophy? He just comes, running over to me,” she declares.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There’s also a cheeky map reference in the first verse,\u00a0<\/span>which could be a callback\u00a0to the early days of her relationship with Travis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Observant Swifties also speculated that a few of Travis’ family members were also been graced with lyrical shout-outs — including Travis’ dad, Ed Kelce.<\/span><\/p>\n

On “So High School,” she sings about the joy of a new romance that has her\u00a0<\/span>feeling like a teenager. The lyrics hint at a lover with a wicked sense of humor, not unlike her current boyfriend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I feel like laughing in the middle of practice again \/ To that impression you did of your dad again,” she sings on the song’s second verse. For his part, Travis has been known to deliver impressions of his dad, Ed, on his podcast,\u00a0<\/span>New Heights<\/span><\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Showing Up for Each Other<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Following the release of\u00a0<\/span>The Tortured Poets Department<\/span><\/em>, <\/span>a source told ET that\u00a0<\/span>her boyfriend\u00a0“couldn’t be more supportive and is pumped for Taylor.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“He knows how much this means to her and thinks she’s extremely talented,” the source said. “Taylor and Travis admire each other’s creative processes and work ethic. They\u00a0cheer each other on, respect each other’s opinions, and are open and communicative.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Another source said, “Travis is so supportive of the entire album and loves that he is a part of Taylor’s story.”<\/span><\/p>\n

As the singer transitioned from her performance of “But Daddy I Love Him” into “So High School,” Kelce’s energy appeared to pick up while Hadid — who was standing next to him — appeared to offer him a knowing nudge. With Kelce’s eyes fixed on stage, he danced along and pointed from his eyes to Swift’s as she sang the line, “Every time I look at you.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A source told ET, “Taylor’s 87th show had significance not only for the reference to Travis’ football jersey number, but because of the many Easter eggs hidden in the show about Travis. During the highly anticipated “Surprise Songs” portion of Swift’s show, she sang another new one rumored to be about the couple’s relationship. As Swift performed “The Alchemy,” Kelce was seen emulating Swift’s famous “heart hands” gesture in response.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The supportive relationship certainly goes both ways.\u00a0A source told ET on May 13 that, “The two are making it a point to celebrate each other\u2019s achievements, and show up when it matters most.”<\/span><\/p>\n

According to an eyewitness, Taylor and Travis “walked in holding hands and were affectionate all night” while supporting Mahomes’ charity initiative. On May 17, a source told ET that Swift and Kelce’s friends and family were anticipating <\/span>potential nuptials between the pair.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The source told ET, “Taylor and Travis are doing amazing, and their loved ones see an engagement coming sooner than later. They make a great match and there’s no question about that.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Weeks later, <\/span>Kelce sat down for an interview on <\/span>Good Morning America<\/em><\/a> and addressed his future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ahead of <\/span>Swift’s first night performing at London’s Wembley Stadium, the singer and her beau chatted backstage with <\/span>Prince William and two of his three children, <\/span>Prince George and <\/span>Princess Charlotte. Swift <\/span>shared a selfie of <\/span>the encounter on Instagram, marking the first time she’d posted a pic with Kelce on her page.<\/span><\/p>\n

During night two of Swift’s three-night London stop, <\/span>the celebs were out in full force. The tight end proceeded to stand by\u00a0as Swift’s dancers stripped her of her dress and revealed a white two-piece set underneath, fanning himself and smiling from ear to ear.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
