The Washington Wizards announced the signing of veteran forward Saddiq Bey on Friday.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

His representatives from Excel Basketball told ESPN it was a three-year deal for $20 million.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

Bey, 25, averaged 13.7 points and 6.5 rebounds in 63 games (51 starts) with the Atlanta Hawks in 2023-24 before sustaining a season-ending torn ACL on March 10.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

He has career marks of 14.1 points and 5.2 boards in 292 games (223 starts) with the Detroit Pistons (2020-23) and Hawks.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

It’s a homecoming for Bey, who grew up in Largo, Md., and played high school basketball at DeMatha Catholic and Sidwell Friends School before heading to Villanova.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
