\nConstruction of the Universal Parkway<\/a> and Frisco Street projects are making progress, according to a July project report.<\/p>\n

The details <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Universal Parkway project costs $12.94 million, and the Frisco Street project costs $20.86 million, according to the city\u2019s capital improvement site. Funding for the projects comes from the city of Frisco.<\/p>\n

Both roadways, which are located east of the Dallas North Tollway, surround the future Universal Kids Resort<\/a>. The roads will connect northbound Dallas Parkway to a future extension of Panther Creek Parkway, which is farther to the east with a six-lane divided roadway.<\/p>\n

The construction of the new Frisco Street continues north to PGA Parkway as a two-lane roadway, according to the project report<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The installation of underground utilities consists of 12,500 feet of storm drain and 13,500 feet of water line construction, which was finalized in June, according to the report.<\/p>\n

The bridge deck on Frisco Street crossing Panther Creek Parkway has been poured.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead<\/strong><\/p>\n

The next step on the project is preparing for subgrade, which will go beneath the roadway pavement. Once that preparation is complete, the roadway paving operations will begin and continue throughout the summer, according to the report.<\/p>\n
