But, is protein cold foam actually good for you? And how can you bring a coffee shop to your home and make your own protein cold foam?<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-s-so-special-about-protein\">What\u2019s So Special About Protein?<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cProtein is important for everyone and not just people building muscle mass at the gym,\u201d says MyFitnessPal Head of Nutrition Melissa Jaeger, RD, LD. MyFitnessPal registered dietitian Joanna Gregg says that number is the minimum amount of protein required for your body to function each day\u2014but it\u2019s not necessarily the number you should aim for. You likely should eat more protein based on your goals and specific needs, she says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA good guideline is to aim for 20 to 30 grams of protein per meal and around 10 to 15 for snacks,\u201d Gregg says. compare to other coffee add-ins?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Gregg says that if your goal is to have a high-protein, low-carb add-in to your coffee, this homemade protein cold foam recipe is a great choice. She says milk and unsweetened milk alternatives are also good, but may contain less protein. \u201cProtein cold foam may be a great alternative to\u00a0 sugar or artificial sweeteners, which don\u2019t contribute much in the way of health but may be lower in calories,\u201d Gregg says.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1752554023699\">\n<h3 class=\"schema-faq-question\" style=\"font-weight: 600;margin-block-start: 8px;margin-block-end: 16px\">Is cold foam healthier than creamer?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">When made with low-fat milk or milk alternatives, cold foam is healthier than creamer. It can be beneficial in moderation, but shouldn\u2019t be relied on.
