It\u2019s another getaway Wednesday in the long MLB season, and that means day baseball. The best way to get through hump day is by betting on home run props.<\/p>\n

There isn\u2019t enough data to prove more homers happen during day games, but with warmer air helping the ball travel farther, it\u2019s worth taking some swings on Wednesday\u2019s slate.<\/p>\n

Here are three top home run prop picks for Aug. 20 (odds via FanDuel unless noted).<\/p>\n

Shea Langeliers HR (+295)<\/h3>\n

The first pick isn\u2019t in a day game, but it\u2019s still worth a play. Twins starter Bailey Ober has been one of the league\u2019s most home run-prone pitchers, giving up 24 this season \u2014 sixth most in MLB.<\/p>\n

Nick Kurtz (+245) would be the obvious pick from this matchup, but his odds have become too short<\/a>. Langeliers has quietly put together a strong season with an .827 OPS against righties and continues to be a key piece at the top of Oakland\u2019s lineup.<\/p>\n

This is mostly a fade of Ober, and Langeliers has the power to make him pay.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Rodr\u00edguez is locked in at the plate<\/a>, slashing .333\/.379\/.667 with four home runs over his last 15 games. For the second straight season, he\u2019s heating up after the All-Star break and reminding everyone why he\u2019s one of baseball\u2019s most electric outfielders.<\/p>\n

The Mariners star has been far better against left-handed pitching this year, with an OPS nearly 80 points higher. That bodes well against Phillies starter Jes\u00fas Luzardo, who has allowed all 13 of his home runs this season to right-handed hitters.<\/p>\n

In a matchup against his former manager, AJ Hinch, Altuve carries plenty of value at this price.<\/p>\n

The Astros second baseman has hit most of his homers against righties this season, and he faces Charlie Morton, who ranks among the top 40 pitchers in home runs allowed.
