{"id":8852,"date":"2026-05-13T06:29:04","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T06:29:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/friscotimes.org\/?p=8852"},"modified":"2026-05-13T06:29:04","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T06:29:04","slug":"north_texas_golf_classic_raises_money_to_fund_535_educational_scholarships-html","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/friscotimes.org\/?p=8852","title":{"rendered":"North Texas Golf Classic Raises Money to Fund 53.5 Educational Scholarships &#8211; Frisco Online Local News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">There was no shortage of competition, camaraderie, and meaningful moments at this year\u2019s North Texas Golf Classic, but what mattered most was the impact made together.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.bubblelife.com\/viewimage\/key\/3564637002\/wba09573_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>From the first tee shot to the final conversations, supporters from across North Texas came together with one shared purpose: honoring the sacrifice of America\u2019s fallen or disabled military service members and first responders by investing in the futures of their families.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the incredible generosity of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, donors, and community partners, this year\u2019s tournament raised more than $268,000, funding 53.5 educational scholarships for deserving families. Every team that signed up, every sponsorship, every auction item, and every contribution helped create new opportunities for spouses and children pursuing their educational goals.<\/p>\n<p>We were proud to welcome 160 golfers, 16 dedicated volunteers, board members, scholarship recipients, and supporters who helped make the event feel both impactful and deeply personal. Hearing directly from those affected by these scholarships served as a powerful reminder of why this mission matters so much.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.bubblelife.com\/viewimage\/key\/3564637080\/wba09611_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A special thank you goes to Suntex Marinas, La Pulga, Eataly Dallas, and Budweiser for helping make the day even more memorable through silent auction donations and on-course activations that kept the energy high throughout the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Events like the North Texas Golf Classic are about far more than a day on the course.
