Jam + Toast strives to provide welcoming atmosphere, good food in Frisco

Zife “Z” Seferi and Tima Dalipi, Jam + Toast co-owners and sisters-in-law, left the Chicago area to open a restaurant in North Texas.

The backstory

The restaurant is family owned and operated Seferi said. Her brother and nephews work in the restaurant as well.

“At any given time, you will see myself or my sister-in-law Tima here,” Seferi said.

Serefi said her father owned a restaurant when she was young. About six years ago, Serefi said she and Dalipi decided to leave their careers to open a restaurant. They eventually opened two Jam + Toast restaurants in Irving and sold them to open a restaurant in Frisco in 2023, where they both lived.

What’s on the menu?

The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch, Serefi said, adding that many of the recipes, such as the crepes, are passed down from her father.

Popular menu items on the breakfast menu include the avocado toast, which is served with cooked-to-order eggs and fresh fruit. They also serve crepes, which come in a variety of flavors.

On the lunch menu, popular items include buffalo chicken, which features chicken tossed in buffalo sauce and topped with lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese and ranch dressing on a brioche bun. Additionally, Serefi recommends the reuben sandwich or one of the paninis.

What’s special about it?

Serefi said she strives to treat each customer as family. She said she encourages staff to greet each customer and get to know them personally.

“When they come in here, we want them to feel welcome,” Serefi said. “[We want them to feel] as if they were visiting family.”
