The English National Team announced its 2026 World Cup roster, featuring stars from the biggest clubs in Europe, including the English Premier League.
English Premier League champion Arsenal is sending 4 players to the World Cup: Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Eberechi Eze, and Noni Madueke.
And the star-power doesn’t stop there. Barcelona’s Marcus Rashford, Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham, Manchester City’s Nico O’Reilly, John Stones, Marc Guehi, and Everton’s Jordan Pickford were also included.
Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has also been included after making a late run in the second half of the season. Mainoo had been an emerging figure at the Euros, but lost his England place after being pushed to the fringes at United under former coach Ruben Amorim. He was reinstated to the first team when Michael Carrick took over in January and has been a driving force in United’s rise to third in the Premier League, which has secured a return to the Champions League.
Few teams have had as tortured a history at the World Cup as England, despite its reputation as the birthplace of modern soccer. England’s first Group Stage game is the second game hosted in North Texas and will take place at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, against Croatia. England is seeking its second World Cup trophy ever and the first since winning on their home soil over Germany in 1966.
England World Cup squad:
Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson, Jordan Pickford, James Trafford
Defenders: Dan Burn, Marc Guehi, Reece James, Ezri Konsa, Tino Livramento, Nico O’Reilly, Jarell Quansah, Djed Spence, John Stones
Midfielders: Elliot Anderson, Jude Bellingham, Eberechi Eze, Jordan Henderson, Kobbie Mainoo, Declan Rice, Morgan Rogers
Forwards: Anthony Gordon, Harry Kane, Noni Madueke, Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka, Ivan Toney, Ollie Watkins
The United States Men’s National Team will reveal its roster on Tuesday, May 26. The World Cup begins Thursday, June 11.
